What We Do

The RTI Activist Association of India is a dedicated organization committed to strengthening and empowering the Right to Information Act, 2005. This association serves as a front for addressing all matters related to RTI activists, encompassing aspects of their training, guidance, assistance, and protection. The primary objective of the RTI Activist Association of India is to enhance transparency in governance and administration, curb corruption, and build a trained army of RTI activists across the country.

Expanding on this, the RTI Activist Association of India not only focuses on the enforcement of the Right to Information Act but also plays a crucial role in educating the public about their rights under this law. By conducting workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns, the association aims to equip citizens with the knowledge and tools they need to hold government bodies accountable.

Additionally, the association provides a support system for RTI activists who often face challenges and threats in their pursuit of transparency. Legal aid, counseling, and safety measures are part of the comprehensive support framework offered by the organization.

The association also collaborates with other civil society groups, legal experts, and policymakers to advocate for policy reforms that further strengthen the RTI framework. By doing so, it seeks to create an environment where transparency and accountability are deeply ingrained in the governance structure, thereby fostering a culture of openness and integrity.

Through its relentless efforts, the RTI Activist Association of India aspires to create a robust network of well-informed and skilled activists who can effectively utilize the Right to Information Act to bring about positive change in society.
